Fix My Speaker is a free, browser based tool that helps push trapped water and loose dust out of your phone speaker using carefully tuned sound and vibration. No app to install, no account to create, no cost.
Who runs this site
Fix My Speaker is built and maintained by me, Berk Imren. I'm an independent developer who designs and runs small, practical web tools and mobile apps. This site is a personal project that I keep updated and improve over time you can see more of my work at berkimren.com.
I want to be straightforward about this: I'm a developer, not a certified phone repair technician. Fix My Speaker is a software tool, not a repair service. It plays sound through the speaker your device already has it never opens, touches, or modifies your hardware.
How the tool works
The method is the same principle behind the water eject feature on the Apple Watch: specific low-frequency tones vibrate the speaker diaphragm, breaking the surface tension that holds water droplets inside the speaker mesh so they're pushed out of the opening. A separate vibration stage helps shake loose dust and any remaining moisture.
Everything happens in your browser, through your own speaker. Nothing is installed, and the tool can't access anything on your device other than playing audio.
What it can — and can't — do
It works well for:
- Water trapped in the speaker after splashes, rain, sweat, or a quick drop in liquid
- Muffled or quieter sound caused by light dust and pocket lint
- iPhone, Android, tablets, smartwatches, and many Bluetooth speakers
It can't fix:
- Physical hardware damage, a blown speaker, or internal corrosion
- Sound problems caused by settings, software bugs, or a Bluetooth device (those need different steps)
- Water that has been sitting inside the device for a long time
If you've run the tool a few times and the sound still isn't right, the problem may not be water at all. In that case it's worth checking settings and software first, and if nothing helps, having the device looked at by a professional repair service. I'd rather tell you that honestly than promise a fix the tool can't deliver.
Free, and how it stays free
Fix My Speaker is completely free to use. The site is supported by advertising, which covers hosting and development. You don't need to sign up, and I don't sell your personal data. The tool runs without collecting anything beyond the standard, anonymous analytics and advertising that most websites use.
The app
There's also a free Android version if you prefer it on your phone: Fix My Speaker on Google Play.
